Rockstar Games have just officially shared the first details and screenshot for the upcoming Mansions DLC. They’ve also all but confirmed the update’s release date and it is coming very, very soon.
In their latest Event Week Newswire post, that was released amidst protests outside their offices, Rockstar give us a screenshot and a paragraph of words about the next update. Headed as “Get Ready to Move Up in the World”, Rockstar say the first in-game tease of GTA Online mansions will come next week; likely next Thursday.
“Starting next week, make sure to get in on the ground floor of a new extravagant era in Los Santos luxury real estate. Raf will be in touch… “
As you read, Raf will be buzzing your phone with details on a few new luxury properties being built in Los Santos. Some of these teases which involve construction work taking place in-game have been datamined so you can learn more about what to expect here.
Above is the in-game screenshot released by Rockstar in their Newswire post. It shows one of the mansion construction sites which we’ll be able to see next week. It also features a sign for Prix Luxury Real Estate, the new company selling this high-end houses.
UPDATE: 8:17pm GMT – Rockstar community member Tez2 believes we have have been given a screenshot of one of the new mansions in the most recent GTA+ month page. As you can see below, the image shows a large house’s drive/garage and in the background is the observatory and neighbouring hills. Going into the game and getting the same angle leads you to just the side of a road.
GTA Online Mansions Release Date
As for when mansions and the next content update will release, Rockstar have all but told us exactly. The latest GTA+ month started today and the end date is alway a rock solid indicator when a new GTA Online update will release.
This current GTA+ month will end on Monday December 8th. Given GTA Online updates always release on Tuesdays and GTA+ months typically end on Thursdays, the mansions update will drop on Tuesday December 9th.
We’ve known since this summer’s GTA Online update, Money Fronts, that Rockstar Games are planning to finally allow players to purchase expensive luxury homes in Los Santos. Now we only have a few more short weeks before what could be the grand finale of GTA Online updates releases.
