A selection of new data shows both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are continuing their strong start in 2026. The sales and download data of games for February has been reported by official sources such as PlayStation. Let’s take a look at how well Rockstar Games’ titles are doing so far in GTA 6’s release year.
PlayStation Charts
PlayStation have published their monthly game charts for PS5, PS4, PSVR and F2P game downloads for March. Let’s start by taking a look at where GTA V placed in these charts.
The game was the 4th most downloaded PS5 game in Europe last month. It was only beaten by new releases Crimson Desert and Resident Evil Requiem plus the staple that is EA FC 26. This is the same position Rockstar’s title held in February. In the USA/Canada chart it slipped from 6th to 8th.
Taking a look at the PS4 version, it was the 14th most downloaded game in both region’s charts. This is a step down in both of them. The prior month saw it in 7th for the European chart and 9th in North America. Red Dead Redemption 2 was the most downloaded PS4 title in both regions across both months. It has been the most downloaded game every month since last summer on PS4.
US Sales Charts
According to Circana, GTA V was the 10th best selling game in February throughout the USA. Red Dead Redemption 2 clocked in a little lower at 12th.
Livestreaming Numbers
Another fun chart to take a look at it streaming numbers. GTA V has had a strong start in 2026. The results for the first quarter of 2026 (January through March) have been revealed by Stream Hatchet.
GTA V achieved 456 million hours watched during the time frame which is up 5.5% over the same period in 2025. Not bad considering the game is another year older and GTA 6 keeps being delayed. It was recently reported as the second most watched game in all of 2025.
