DJ Mister Cee, has was best known within the Rockstar Games community for Co-Hosting in Grand Theft Auto IV, has sadly passed away at the age of 57 Years Old.
DJ Mister Cee who’s real name is Calvin Lebrun, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was an American Radio Host and DJ and was a influential figure in the Hip Hop scene. His current employer, WQHT (Hot 97FM) announced his passing yesterday on their website.
Most of us that will read this article will know his for his amazing Radio Hosting in 2008 for the Radio Beat 102.7 in Grand Theft Auto IV along side DJ Green Lantern. A radio that plays the finest music from the East Coast R&B/Hip-hop scene, and is also set on Hot 97.
HOT 97 released the following statement regarding his death.
As a family at HOT 97 and WBLS, weβre deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Mister Cee. He wasnβt just a DJ; he was a pillar of our stations, bringing joy to countless listeners with his legendary Throwback at Noon and Friday Night Live sets.
Mr. Ceeβs influence stretched far beyond the airwaves, shaping the very fabric of NYCβs DJ culture. Our hearts are heavy as we send our love and condolences to his family and the fans whose lives he touched through his music.
Rest easy, Mr. Cee. Your legacy will live forever.
His cause of death currently hasn’t been revealed publicly. Our thoughts go out to Lebrun’s family and everybody that knew him.
