How To Disable Halloween Weather In GTA Online

Rockstar Games have enabled the Halloween weather once again in GTA Online. As part of their spooky season festivities, a green filter is a applied to every player across Southern San Andreas for a week or so at the end of October. It just got added in the most recent Event Week in the run up to Halloween later this week. However, not everyone is a fan.

For the past couple of years, players have complained about the filter for a variety of reasons. For starters, it is on all of the time. It also creates a lack of visibility making some missions far harder to do. The filter is applied inside all buildings so your vision is impaired at all times. This also makes taking Snapmatics less fun. Some GTA Online players even report a reduced FPS count when this weather is active.

Thankfully there is a simple way to turn off the dark green filter as found by reddit user Glyphistaken. All you need for this is an apartment and to follow the few steps below:

Step 1: Go to your apartment’s entrance (any apartment works)

Step 2: Enter your apartment’s garage

Step 3: Enter your apartment via the elevator

Step 4: Exit your apartment via the elevator and don’t choose garage

And that’s it! Once you arrive outside your apartment, you will see no Halloween filter. This will remain off until you complete a job or load into a new GTA Online session. So it is temporary but at least it is simple, easy and repeatable. That said, if you don’t want to have to do this constantly, you can use green tint glasses and play in first person. This will heavily reduce the green filter as spotted by reddit user Outrageous-List-5118.

I tried it but unfortunately it didn’t work. Guess I’ll start playing again after October. Honestly it’s getting annoying
