GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have given us some interesting sales figures in November. The games took on new heavy hitting games like Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and they held onto places or even improved. Sony and UK chart data has just been released showing where Rockstar’s titles such as GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 placed in November.
Interesting Changes
PlayStation have shared their monthly game charts on PS5, PS4, PSVR and F2P games for November this week. During that month, it was the 5th most downloaded PS5 title in Europe for a second month in a row. As for the USA and Canada chart, it gained a place. It was 7th in the prior month but made 6th position in November for PS5.
Let’s know take a look at both charts on the PS4 side of things. GTA V kept 6th place in the US/Canada chart for a consecutive month. In contrast, the game dropped from 6th to 9th in Europe.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Downloads Rise
Red Dead Redemption 2 saw another successive month of download gains. Last month, Rockstar’s masterpiece was the 3rd most downloaded PS4 game in the US and Canada. In November, it became the runner up only missing out to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. After two months at 5th place in the European chart, it rose to 4th position.
GTA V Takes On Black Friday
The monthly UK games charts are also in for October. According to the data given out by GSD via gamesindustry.biz, GTA V remained the 5th best selling game in the region last month that included Black Friday. This is up from 7th place after two months in a row. Also, this all disc and digital sales combined.
As mentioned above, November saw recent new titles Black Ops 6 continue to sell well so this is good news for GTA V. GTA Online’s standalone version remained outside of the top 10 and so did Red Dead Redemption 2.
In other sales news, GTA V has now surpassed 205 million copies sold say Take-Two. Plus, Red Dead 2 has reached 67 million sales. Learn more about the past quarter of Rockstar’s financials here.
