Fan favourite GTA V graphics mod, NaturalVision Evolved, has just received significant updates. They somehow makes the game look even better than before when NVE was installed. So far this year the mod got upgrades in January, April and now July and August back to back. This comes after less frequent updates in 2023 and the initial release in 2022. The development team behind the mod published trailers to show off all of the new features. We’ll be taking a look what they’ve been working on below.
August Update Features
New particle effects and improvements
The VFX side of the mod has gained new sand dust trail, shockwave, explosion effects for vehicles. Also, new grenade and rocket explosions effects and improvements made to the- burnout effects and particle light falloff. The team also note there are even more that are not part of their video. Sun and sky
To elevate the visuals of the atmosphere, tweaks have been made to the colours of the sky and fog in the extra sunny and clear weather variants. You’ll be able to find longer shadows too.
Vehicle audio
As part of the August release, a whole new suite of sounds have been added to vehicles. Players will now hear brand new sounds for doors, start-ups, sirens and even the train horn has a new sound. The team also promise additional improvements in upcoming updates.
Models and textures
New chameleon paint jobs have been designed and release for single-player. Visit Los Santos Customs to spray the any of the new options including some that will get you in the mood for GTA 6. These new paint jobs are called: Sprunk, Vice City Sunset, Los Santos Sky, Nautical, Synthwave, Welcome to Vice City, Fumes of Liberty, Memories of Grove Street, Princeess Robot Bubblegum, Republican Space Rangers, Midnight Blue, Rainbomizer and Psychedelic.
The roads you’ll drive this new paints also got new textures. Far more detail has been added and the colours have been tweaked.
In terms of models with new textures, a whole new palm tree has been created. These replace the older ones. You can see a side by side comparison above. Vespucci also has been given a light-up sign and other lights placed around the area.
Meanwhile the metro platforms have seen an update. The ticket machines there have seen a major facelift. An overhaul to the graphics of the Binco stores will also be available to Platinum tier supporters of the mod on Patreon.
The July update saw enhancements in a number of areas too. These included collision, weapon sounds, Ammu-nation prop revamps and more.
