GTA V players have a lower IQ compared to players of other games according to a new survey. A company decided to take on the task of seeing which fanbases of games have the most brains. The results are not too surprising.
A group of psychologists were brought in by WhichBingo to give gamers who wanted to participate an IQ test. According to the company, it looked at four main areas: maths, logic, verbal communication and visual reasoning.
There were just over 1000 people that responded and took the test. Whilst it is not a huge sample size, it is still a thousand different people. All of them were told to share the games they prefer to play and what their choice of platform is.
The study found League of Legends players to be at the top with an average IQ level of 120.4. The lowest score was for EA FC players coming in at 89.8. GTA V was not too far off the bottom with 96.8 in 16th place. Given GTA Online players feel like they have to deal with griefers in Oppressor Mk IIs a lot, this score might not surprise you. PC gamers came in first place with mobile users in last.
The site says the 85 to 115 is classed as average intelligence and anything above that is above average intelligence. You can check out the full report here.

Makes sense, crimes/theft are usually done by the dumbest people in the community, so for a game that is all about crime and rewards theft you’re bound to attract the worst out of the community.
“It had an okay mild story mode” it was poorly written and its only hook was murder with a terrible payout amounts, you go online and everything costs way too much so idiots spend time killing other idiots in a never ending cycle, with 2-3/4ths being modders trying to feel something.
This news doesn’t surprise me at all, who the hell can play for so long. We are talking about a game over 10 years old, expired, without any DLC Expansion Map or anything like that. That then players still complain that Rockstar doesn’t release anything new.
I’m surprised that intelligence can now be determined by playing a game. I’m also surprised that someone paid Psychologists to critique a game. That’s amazing to me. All this time, I thought games were made for fun 😆
