GTA 5 and GTA Online have once again made their way back into Xbox Game Pass. Following a couple of previous stints, Rockstar have put the blockbuster back into Microsoft’s subscription service.
Xbox announced this re-entry on their official news site along with when it will be in Game Pass from. Starting July 5th 2023, you’ll be able to play Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online without owning them if you have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription. This includes the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of Grand Theft Auto V. This is great for anyone who upgraded to the Xbox Series X|S consoles and have not checked out the new versions of GTA V featuring ray tracing.
On top of that, you’ll be able to play the game in the cloud on any device that supports Xbox Cloud Streaming. For example, you’ll be able to play GTA V or GTA Online on your phone wherever you have an internet connection.
Any game that is part of Xbox Game Pass is also discounted to purchase digitally with your membership so GTA V will be cheaper now. Speaking of discounts, Xbox are running a big sale on Rockstar titles.
When will it leave Xbox Game Pass?
Unfortunately leaving dates are not communicated publicly until they enter the last few weeks of their Game Pass tour. Previously outings in Xbox Game Pass for GTA V saw it have 4 months and 6 months.
We’d expect to see it in Xbox Game Pass for around the same duration during this third spell. Once a leaving date is confirmed we will share it with you so stay tuned to RockstarINTEL. Will you be checking out GTA V or GTA Online in the cloud or console thanks to Game Pass? Let us know down in the comments.
