FiveM now supports GTA V via Xbox’s PC Game Pass subscription. The launcher was updated by the Rockstar Games-owned Cfx.re team to work with the Microsoft Store versions of the game.
Last week, Xbox added GTA V to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. It was the first time ever it was part of the PC version of the subscription service. Both versions, GTA V Enhanced and Legacy, are included in PC Game Pass.
Given many millions of people who now have access to GTA V on PC without purchasing it, some wondered if they could enjoy FiveM with it. At first, it was not possible but thankfully it is all good to go. Spotted by @videotechuk_, Cobalt from the FiveM team shared a message on Discord announcing support has arrived. You can read his full message below:
FiveM now officially supports the Microsoft Store version of GTA V, which includes Xbox Game Pass users! The launcher will automatically detect your installed MS Store version of GTA V (Legacy Edition). If you own GTA V through the MS Store or currently have access via Game Pass (which grants a temporary MS Store license), everything should now work just like it does for Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, or Epic Games users.

So there you have it. PC Game Pass players can now enjoy the expansive world of FiveM. Currently, only GTA V Legacy will be used for FiveM, however that will be changing.
An official mod tool is being made by the team. This is a huge milestone in Rockstar’s history with modding. This new tool will allow server owners to convert assets made for FiveM work in the new GTA V Enhanced version. You can learn more here. Also, Server Upvotes can now be purchased from within the Cfx.re Portal.
