Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have continued their strong form throughout 2023 in terms of sales and downloads. The results for November 2023 show these two from Rockstar Games beat out titles newly released in 2023 in terms of downloads and sales depending on the region and platform.

New reports with verified data shows these two titles from Rockstar Games just keep on going despite their age and brand new blockbuster releases. We’re over close to the end of the year now and the two titles are hanging on towards the top of the charts.

PlayStation reveals GTA V rises ahead of the GTA VI trailer

PlayStation have released their monthly game charts for PS5, PS4, PSVR and F2P games. During October, GTA V was the 4th most downloaded game in all of Europe. Across the Atlantic, it was the 10th most downloaded game in October for the US and Canada.

Despite even more new game releases, GTA 5 gained places during November in the USA and Canada. It achieved 6th place. It was only beaten by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Spider-Man 2, Madden, EA Sports FC, and NBA. Meanwhile in Europe, stayed in 4th position.

As for the PS4 chart, it was a different story. In Europe, it moved down into 7th place from 5th. Whereas in North America it stayed in 6th place despite recent competition.

Red Dead Redemption 2 goes head to head with CoD

Red Dead Redemption 2 did well in November. Last month it was the most downloaded game of the month in the US and Canada chart. This time it dropped down a place only because of the gigantic release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Meanwhile across the pond it charted in 3rd place for a third month running. Red Dead 2 can only be counted in the PS4 chart as there is only a PS4 version. Downloads to PS5 consoles are included in this.

USA sales see GTA V strong

Circana who track sales of all games and their player count in the United States have revealed the charts for November. GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S was third in the monthly active users charts. It only lost out to Call of Duty and Fortnite.

UK charts have GTA V still in

The monthly UK games charts are in for November. According to the data given out by GfK via gamesindustry.biz, GTA V was the 10th best selling game when all disc and digital sales were combined. This is down from fifth place. European Charts will be added when the data has come in.
