Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is set to release on the Epic Games Store this week according to a reputable gaming leaker. Since November 2021, the GTA Trilogy remasters have been exclusive to the Rockstar Launcher on PC. For the past few months we have reported on several pieces of evidence the games are coming to both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Rockstar have been laying the groundwork for the release on other platforms for quite a while even though they have remained silent.
When is it coming to the Epic Games Store?

According to BillbilKun on Twitter, whom have a good track record for gaming news, the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will go live on the Epic Games Store on January 19th at 4PM UTC. This is quite soon so expect an official announcement from Rockstar Games about this EGS release. BillbilKun also notes the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be on a 50% off discount during its first week from release. Will you be picking it up on the Epic Games Store during this discounted period? Let us know down in the comments.
Is it coming to Steam this week too?
As we said before, we’ve reported on various bits of evidence for a Steam release. You’d think the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition would release on the same day for both Steam and Epic Games Store but Epic tend to pay for a window of exclusivity. BillbilKun thinks it will “probably” will come to Steam on the same day but does “not know”. We will keep you updated when Rockstar officially confirm anything themselves.
Seeing that Rockstar Games have taken over this project, we really hope they release a substantial patch that improves the game on all platforms alongside this EGS release.
Stay tuned to RockstarINTEL for all news updates on Grand Theft Auto.
