GTA Online’s Casino Update Brings Biggest Player Count Since 2013

Grand Theft Auto Online’s casino update which brought the Diamond Casino & Resort to the game reportedly created record-breaking player figures for Grand Theft Auto Online, and brought in “the most online players in a single day, and week, since the Rockstar property launched in October 2013.”

Rockstar has not revealed exact figures, but claims that “the Diamond Casino update delivered the biggest single day and week in player numbers since GTA Online first went live in October 2013.” This was revealed exclusively to The Hollywood Reporter.

The update was released on July 23, and a week later it seems that the update was given Grand Theft Auto Online a massive boost. The game has been steadily breaking player-base records every single year regardless of its launch being almost 6 years ago.

Former Rockstar Insider Yan2295 claimed on twitter that GTA Online had over a million concurrent players on casino launch day.

I believe GTA Online had over a million players total on at the same time yesterday, which would be a new record since launch day

What do you think of the update?
