Rockstar Games have released a few background updates for GTA Online following the recent big Money Fronts patch. The company have responded to various issues such as broken progression which came as part of this summer’s GTA Online DLC. Some fans have a tad frustrated with some issues but luckily Rockstar have been able to act quick on a number of them.
Background updates from Rockstar fix issues without the need of downloading an update. It is all handled server side. This is a routine occurrence after a new GTA Online update so nothing out of the ordinary here.
Patch Notes
The recent background update details from June 19th comes from reliable community insider Tez2 who has shared patch notes of the background update. Below are all of the known changes:
- Fixed an issue where earning the max bonus in the Current Liabilities mission didn’t count towards Money Fronts Tier 4 challenge progress.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in the game crashing/freezing upon launching a Mr Faber mission.
- Fixed an issue resulting in the player not being able to visit the Cayo Perico Beach Party after requesting an RC Tank.

In regards to the Tier 4 challenge progress issue, Tez notes you should replay the Current Liabilities mission and be sure to get the maximum bonus for the challenge to complete post-update. Were you impacted by any of these issues? Let us know down in the comments.

It would be SUPER appreciated if RockStar could simply fix the glitch that happens when you fly all the way from the top of the map down to the bottom for the Cayo Perico gather intell set up. Sometimes it goes right to a black screen and nothing else. Usually when entering the Cayo Airport there is a cut scene of the airplane landing. For years this black screen has shown, in some cases even in multiple consecutive attempts and it’s VERY FRUSTRATING….
HOW ABOUT FIXING THAT????
