Rockstar Games will be letting players purchase luxury mansions in GTA Online next week as part of the new A Safehouse in the Hills update. The one question that has been on people’s minds for months now is how much will they cost? Well, it looks like we finally have an answer.
On Friday, Rockstar dropped a huge amount of news regarding the future of GTA Online. With GTA 6 still almost a year away, fans will be able to create their own missions with brand new tools plus enjoy the high life set within the Vinewood hills. All of this will be available on Wednesday December 10th.
The three new mansions offer brand new features along with some essential fan favourites all from one building. We previously reported on all of the in-depth details here. Given all the functionality, fans were bracing for a very, very expensive purchase. They would be right based on the new info we’ve seen.
GTA Online Mansion Cost
It seems like at least one of the mansions will cost $20 million of in-game cash. This information comes from GTA Online subreddit moderator papaxan via Tex2.
Rockstar sent out an email to select Rockstar Creators and Fan Channels asking for the recipients to send their Rockstar ID to them so they can be given a cash injection for the new update. Specifically, they say “we’ll provide you with a GTA$20,000,000 lump sum for your first luxury property”.
Our friend GTAGFX also received said email. He posted on Twitter saying “After the email I’ve just received from Rockstar, expect the mansions to be EXPENSIVE!“
It is unknown if the cheapest mansion without optional add-ons will cost $20m or one of the more expensive ones will cost that amount allowing for a lower barrier of entry elsewhere. Many fans have speculated on Twitter that $20m will be the cheapest mansion and it will be located in the Tongva Hills so Devin’s mansion.
As for how much the various customisation options and optional add-ons will cost, we’ll have to wait and see until next week. GTA Online’s A Safehouse in the Hills update will release on Wednesday December 10th 2025. Stay tuned for news updates.
