Rockstar Games have brought back the GTA Online Ghosts Exposed collectables for Halloween. However, this year differs from previous years. It combines locations from the past two years so you’ll be visiting parts of Los Santos and Blaine County. There is also a brand new final location featuring a character from GTA V Story Mode returning as a ghost…Taking photos of all of them will grant you a new reward too.
In this guide, we’ll be sharing all of the ghost locations, times, and how to successfully complete this challenge to unlock the various rewards.
Completing the Ghosts Exposed challenge will net you $250,000 GTA Online cash, RP and the new Ghosts Exposed Cap. You will not earn the Ghostbusters inspired outfit and livery as found in previous years. It comes in both the forwards and backwards variants.
At this moment in time, there is no set end date to this event but don’t expect to be around for too long after October 31st which is Halloween. Thankfully this Ghost Hunt won’t take you too long as there are only 10 Ghosts to find and they’re all fairly easily found.
Ghosts Exposed Details You Need To Know
When you log-into GTA Online for the first time since October 16th and the Event Week, you’ll be greeted with this email Ghosts Exposed. They explain they are offering rewards for submissions of Ghosts across Southern San Andreas.
Now you can get on with hunting these Ghosts in either a private or public lobby. According to GTA Series, the cooldown is 1 second, so as soon as you load into a lobby. The Ghosts will show up in fixed order between 8pm and 6am in-game time.
On each hour, a Ghost will appear for 2 real world minutes at one of two positions within a certain area. This gives you just a short window to capture your Snapmatic of the Ghost before moving onto the next one. We’d recommend using a quick vehicle such as the Oppressor MK2 to get to point to point. You can do 9 of then in any order but the 10th one shows up only upon taking pictures of all 9.
You’ll know if your photo has been successful because the Ghost will disappear and the pop-up displaying your progress will appear on screen as shown below.
All Ghost locations
Ghost 1 (7pm-8pm) – Either on a grave or on the church roof at the cemetery located in Pacific Bluffs.
Ghost 2 (8pm-9pm) – In a window at either side of the trailer in Sandy Shores.
Ghost 3 (9pm-10pm) – Either above the tribute display on the corner house or on top of the tower with a ladder in El Burro Heights.
Ghost 4 (10pm-11pm) – Either inside or outside of this bus located in San Chianski Mountain Range.
Ghost 5 (11pm-12am) – In the either the front of back of the tower at Miguel Madrazo’s Mansion.
Ghost 6 (1am-2am) – At the top of the train tunnel or next to the parachute in Raton Canyon.
Ghost 7 (2am-3am) – In a front balcony of either tower of the Rockford Hills Church.
Ghost 8 (4am-5am) – At the top front of the church found in Great Chaparral or at a grave.
Ghost 9 (5am-6am) – At the top of level on either side of the motel just north of the East Vinewood Skatepark
Ghost 10 (12am-1am) – The Ghost of Jay Norris will show up on the stage of the Vinewood Bowl (where he died in GTA V)
It will only show up when you have completed all of the previous 9 so you’ll have to wait until the next in-game day.
Rewards
Each photo will grant you $20,000 GTA Online cash and 500RP. Upon taking all 10 photos successfully, you will receive GTA$50,000 bonus and the new Ghosts Exposed Cap.
