GTA games and characters have been part of a massive new Fortnite survey sent out by Epic Games. The company behind the behemoth that is Fortnite routinely asks players on what they’d like to see come to the game in terms of characters and people.
Some previous survey’s have asked specifically about shows, films, people, and characters they like but this new one is more general; asking who are players familiar with. Both of these types of surveys are designed to help inform who Epic incorporate into Fortnite.
The survey’s tend to have a long list of names and this latest one appears to be one of if not the longest list yet. Of course, this means not all of them will come to Fornite one day. Having said that, GTA and its characters have shown up a few times in surveys.

Previous survey inclusions of Rockstar Games
As far back as July 2021, Trevor and Franklin from GTA V were part of a survey asking for player’s opinions on them. Later that year, CJ from GTA San Andreas was also part of a survey asking what characters they like. Back in April Tommy Vercetti was mentioned meanwhile Niko Bellic turned up in June. Other Rockstar titles such as Red Dead Redemption were part of the survey sent out in September.
GTA’s feature in the latest survey
As part of the latest survey for October (spotted by iFireMonkey), both GTA IV and GTA Vice City were included under the video games or video game series sections. It was an interesting list but these two titles were some of the oldest on there. Many of the listed games were from the last few years or so.

It does not stop there as characters from the GTA series were also listed. The trio from GTA V has been listed under the video games section. This marks possibly the first time this has happened as in July 2021 only Trevor Phillips and Franklin Clinton were on the survey, not Michael De Santa. Carl “CJ” Johnson was also listed among these three this time out.
There could be many reasons why GTA characters have been showing up in Fortnite surveys for a couple of years now and have not turned up in-game. It would be very interesting to see a Grand Theft Auto character in Fortnite but given the connotations, it would be a bit surprising.
After all, GTA is one of the biggest franchises in the world and the upcoming game is likely to be the most anticipated game all time.
Epic x Rockstar?

Epic Games and Rockstar Games have worked together a little bit in the past. In early 2022, the Grand Theft Auto V Premium Edition was given away for free on the Epic Games Store. This cost Epic many dollars to pull off and earned a lot of money for Rockstar.
More recently the GTA Trilogy was released on the Epic Games Store before Steam. It also came with the hefty discount of 50% for its launch window.
Perhaps Epic Games would like to capitalise on the GTA 6 hype and have GTA characters within Fortnite? Only time will tell. Be sure to let us know in the comments if you’d like to see a Fortnite and GTA crossover.
