That’s right, in less than a day after announcing the GTA 6 trailer release date for December 5th 2023, the Rockstar Games Tweet has hit over 1.7 Million likes on X and is now currently the most liked gaming tweet of all time. It has over 126 million views and 455k retweets.
The second most liked gaming tweet currently has 1.6 Million Likes and is also another post by Rockstar Games which was them announcing that we will be getting the first Trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI in December. Rockstar Games now have the top 5 most liked gaming Tweets of all time on X (Formerly Twitter).
The announcement has also reached over 5.5 Million Likes on Instagram.
The 3rd most liked tweet now has over 1 Million Likes which was Rockstar Games acknowledging a major hack they suffered in September 2022 which resulted in 90+ videos of GTA 6 being leaked. 563,000 Likes.
The 4th most liked Gaming Tweet is also from Rockstar Games. Which was posted on 8th November 2023 at the same time as the announcement of the GTA 6 Trailer. This post was about Rockstar Games 25th Studio anniversary and was the 1st tweet of the thread the posted.
The 5th most liked tweet is also from Rockstar Games. Of them revealing in February 2022 that active development of the next Grand Theft Auto game is well underway (GTA 6). This tweet has over 563,000 Likes.
Originally, PlayStation held the Number 1 spot for the most liked Gaming Tweet, which was them postponing the PlayStation 5 event in June 2020 due to worldwide protests. This Tweet has been overtaken 5 times due to one game that hasnt been released or shown off yet.
The Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer is due to be revealed on the 5th December, so we’ll sure that will take the top spot. PlayStation currently hold 6th position but we’re sure Rockstar Games will also claim that spot when the Trailer is revealed.
The Chadwick Boseman account still has the most liked tweet of all time, at an impressive 6.8 Million Likes.
As for other social media, the post has over 500,000 reactions , 50,000 comments and 180,000 shares on Facebook. The YouTube community tab post has over 400,000 likes and 15,000 comments.
Rockstar Games have still not posted any Thread onto their Threads account.
