The GTA 6 trailer has been confirmed by Rockstar Games to release in December, next month. This announcement comes after years of speculation and anticipation for the next game in the GTA series.
This announcement came via Rockstar Games’ Twitter account and their newswire part of their website. The statement by co-founder and president of Rockstar Games, Sam Houser.
Rockstar Games statement
Titled “A Message from Rockstar Games“, Sam starts off by saying “Next month marks the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games. Thanks to the incredible support of our players worldwide, we have had the opportunity to create games we are truly passionate about — without you, none of this would be possible, and we are so grateful to all of you for sharing this journey with us.“
Mr Houser continues by saying “In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution.“
These games created by Rockstar have become essential to the industry and have pushed forward the open world genre. The GTA series alone has sold over 400 million copies globally.
