The GTA 6 trailer has continued to break records two weeks after its release. It has just taken the top spot in a record for all trailers. Plus, a new report has details some numbers on the hype level on Twitch.
Most liked trailer of all time
The YouTube video titled Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1 has now surpassed 150 million views which is an incredible amount. However, that is not its only impressive feat. Its early release on December 4th due to it leaking on Twitter (currently known as X) has not deterred it from smashing milestones.
The GTA VI trailer has now become the most liked trailer of all time. Spotted by DrAntagonistic Twitter (currently known as X), Rockstar’s latest video hit 10,868,747 likes as of December 15th. The record was previously held by Dil Bechara’s trailer. It has 50 million less views and only a handful fewer likes. Until December 15th, it was the “most liked gaming trailer” but now Rockstar Games have taken the crown for all trailers.
The video also helped get Rockstar to 10 million YouTube subscribers and broke 3 official Guinness World Records. On top of this Stream Hatchet report that nearly 2000 videos were made covering GTA VI in just 17 hours. These collectively gained over 25 million views.
GTA VI takes over Twitch
According to the new report by Stream Hatchet, there were over 72,000 Twitch chats that mentioned GTA VI. There were also 830 channels on Twitch that put GTA 6 in a stream title. These figures combined really go to show how many people were excited for the trailer on Twitch.
Rockstar also announced last week they giving away more than 600,000 Twitch Subscriptions to GTA RP fans as part of GTA RP Week. You can learn more about Rockstar’s generosity along side Nopixel 4.0‘s launch here.
