GTA 6 could be purchased by almost half of UK gamers according to a new survey. However, a bigger percentage of people don’t think they will buy it. GTA VI might be the most anticipated game of all time following GTA V being the second best selling game of all time but not everyone is thinking about buying it.
A new survey about Grand Theft Auto VI purchase interest by YouGov in collaboration with Statista had its results published on Monday (thanks Insider Gaming). The firms asked gamers in the United Kingdom “Rockstar Games has announced a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series. How likely or unlikely are you to buy this game when it is released?”
41% of the people who took part in the survey said they were “Very/fairly likely”. Meanwhile 49% said they were “Very/fairly unlikely” to by GTA VI. The remaining 4% answered “Don’t know”. Over 500 people over the age of 18 took part in this survey. Of course, 513 gamers is a small sample size. The UK is home to 67 million people but does have a large gaming audience.
Interestingly, it was held mere days before the first GTA VI trailer released. It is possible some people will have changed their minds based on what they saw in that huge hit of a trailer. You can check out the data for yourself here.
It has been rather quiet on the GTA 6 news front as we approach almost half a year since the release of Trailer 1. The 2025 release date situation also is more complicated than you might think and here’s why.
