It looks like Rockstar Games had to change parts of the latest GTA Online updates titled A Safehouse in the Hills. Released on Wednesday, Rockstar Games put out what was looking to be like the final GTA Online update before they delayed GTA 6 last month.
Now all of the content has been released as part of the update, data miners have been going through all the files to see what they can find. The results are quite interesting.
Connecting The Dots
Well-known dataminer Tex2 shared a very interesting discovery on Twitter (currently known as X) late on Wednesday. He said that the Career Progress Plague for the KnoWay Out missions was originally called Sahara Surveillance. This based on the text for the plaque found in the files.
How does this link with GTA 6? Well, Sahara is a company that can be spotted in two official screenshots of GTA VI. It is likely a parody of Amazon.
In the screenshot below we can see the logo for the Sahara Arena. This the home stadium of the Vice City Narcos basketball team as per GTA Wiki.

A cardboard box in the screenshot below features tape with Sahara’s name on similar to Amazon’s in the real world. It’s upside down and towards the bottom left of the image behind the lava lamp so it’s a little bit hard to spot.

What Does This Mean?
Tex speculates that Rockstar could have connected a second part of this DLC to the original May 26th 2026 release date for GTA 6. However, with the delay pushing it to 19th November 2026, the company decided to change the plans. Even if that is not the case, it is still cut content to some extent and relates to the new game.
It is worth noting that after you’ve completed the KnoWay Out missions and the Michael mission that follows, you received a phone call from Mr Faber. It almost certainly hints towards another DLC with more missions coming next year before GTA 6 releases.
