Rockstar Games have revealed exclusively to Hollywood Reporter that the Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 has received 475 Million Views within its first day.
The second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was released on May 6th 2025, just a few days after Rockstar Games announced the game would be delayed until 26th May 2026, the trailer was astonishing, showing off something no other game has ever came close to giving us.
Now Rockstar Games have revealed that Trailer 2 received almost half a Billion views across all its platforms within the first 24 hours of its release. For comparison, the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer which was released in December 2023 gained 93 Million views within the same time period, although it was released exclusively on YouTube, and the most viewed movie Trailer within 24 hours sits at around 365 Million views for Deadpool & Wolverine.

Spotify have also said that streams for the featured song of the GTA VI Trailer also soared. ‘Hot Together‘ by The Pointer Sister was the featured song and streams were up by 182,000% since the Trailer released on Tuesday.
Spotify’s Global head of editorial Sulinna Ong said in a statement ‘Grand Theft Auto cuts through popular culture like almost nothing else. Music has been synonymous with the series since the very beginning, so it’s great to see fans both new and established connecting with an iconic track in this way.’
