The team behind FiveM, Cfx.re, have released a new blog post as part of their monthly community pulse series. From expected support for the latest GTA V update Bottom Dollar Bounties, fuel consumption and more, we’ll be taking a look at what’s out and coming to FiveM.
The FiveM group were acquired by Rockstar Games almost a year ago and have since hired several employees under the Rockstar Games banner. They’ve also continued active development of FiveM and RedM. New features and improvements can be seen this month as revealed in this new blog post from them.
Fuel Consumption Mechanic
GTA V does not have realistic fuel consumption in the game for its vehicles. If you wish to add this element of real life into your servers, you can now do this with FiveM. The team have created native values which can be tweaked to turn on vehicle fuel consumption.
RedM upgrades
Aside from FiveM’s Bottom Dollar Bounties compatibility, RedM has also received support for the latest Red Dead Redemption 2 patch. The blog post notes RedM gained some great contributions from developers as well. The list includes increased game pools and the One Argument List feature. Cfx.re say “Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to improve the RedM framework.”
Development Experiments
Cfx.re are launching Experiments for their platforms. In order to gain feedback plus reduce downtime and issues in their release channels, a new Forum section titled “Experiments” will feature unstable and early development client/server builds.
Players who wish to get early access to new features and changes will be able to do so with this initiative by requesting access on this page. Feedback from the community will be invaluable.
Discord feature
The FiveM and RedM platforms have supported Discord’s rich presence integration meaning you can show what you’re doing in FiveM/RedM on your Discord profile. Your friends and server members can learn how long your play session has been, what server you’re playing on and such. Now players can turn this data off with three total levels of control. Below are the settings available to players:
- Enabled: Displays the current server you are playing on and allow server owners to customise your activity status
- Hide Status: Will only shows if you are playing on RedM or FiveM.
- Disabled: Disable your Discord Activity Status for RedM or FiveM.
More FiveM talk
On top of all of this, txAdmin 7.2 released with a remade dashboard and a bunch of FiveM bugs were fixed. You can read the full patch notes here.

Fuel consumption has been a thing for years in FiveM.
Fuel consumption might have been new 10 years ago. Lol what?
What a stupid article. Anything that r* thinks they’re adding to 5m, it’s already been done a million times by developers who made 5m what it is today.
