An employee from Build A Rocket Boy studio has responded on reddit to conversations that have circulated on Twitter about the company supporting the game using the Blockchain and NFTS.
A job listing that appeared on LinkedIn a few months ago suggested EVERYWHERE would be supported by the Blockchain and NFTS, an employee reached out on reddit to debunk this claim.
Posting on reddit, the dev for EVERYWHERE game from ex Rockstar North President, Leslie Benzies claimed its for research purposes only.
‘These are research positions, as we do not like dismissing new technologies only because others havenβt found a solution for them yet.’
The employee the also confirmed the game is still being built using Unreal Engine 5, the engine created by Epic Games. It was then added saying the game will not be built using the blockchain.
So, everyone can stop panicking now, its good to see Build A Rocket Boy have debunked this claim so soon after circulating. Yesterday, the first official trailer was released for the upcoming game, which you can view here.
