FiveM has received a big update but fans are growing concerned with what is happening to the Rockstar Games-owned project and team. This is a growing list of problems players have had with the service since before and after Rockstar’s acquisition of the property. We’ll be taking a look at what FiveM has gained recently but also why not everyone is happy.
Let’s start with a quick recap. A few weeks ago, we reported on how several members of the FiveM community had grown frustrated by the group running FiveM. Several serious vulnerabilities were discovered and it felt like there was not enough action from Cfx.re and Rockstar to get things resolved swiftly. That said, one of those issues was piracy and that has since been looked into and worked on after public outcry.
This all came after a report earlier in the year that alleged many issues taking place behind the scenes. These problems were not exclusive to Rockstar purchased the GTA RP platform but also how they allegedly have handled it since.
What’s Happening?

Now get into what’s happening in the present. Cfx.re announced the June and July 2025 patch notes for FiveM, RedM and FXServer. It contains a whole host of things such as support for the Money Fronts update from June.
However, prominent community member and insider Tez2 noted in a Tweet that the “90%” of the patch notes are improvements made by community members rather than Cfx.re themselves despite being owned by Rockstar Games with unimaginable resources.
On top of all of this, GTA V Enhanced support has still not come out. This was announced all the way back in February. Fans have been eagerly awaiting its rollout and are growing tired. All we have is “coming soon” from Cfx.re and that was 6 months ago.
SixM The Culprit?
Some fans think this lengthy wait is due to the FiveM team’s work on GTA VI or rather SixM. Tez shot that down on Twitter explaining Rockstar are extremely strict that “FiveM team didn’t have access to V’s source code a year after the acquisition. No idea if it changed afterwards. If it did, I reckon it’s extremely limited.” He added that “there’s a 99% chance they don’t have access to VI’s code.”

What Has Been Added
The new contributions made by community members cover a wide range of areas. For example, 8 security and stability ones and a number of game crash fixes.Brand new natives have been created too. Community member Nikez brought in ones that focus on how NPCs will respond to emergency service sirens. Meanwhile grzybeek‘s all relate to fall damage.
Lua Safe-Navigation and the console also saw improvements. As for RedM, custom fonts can now be used. You can view the full list here.
We’ll have to wait and see what Cfx.re and Rockstar are cooking with the Enhanced version of FiveM. Until then, be sure to stay tuned to RockstarINTEL for any GTA 6 and FiveM news updates.
