The Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look was shown on Netflix earlier today and our Jaws are on the floor. The game look absolutely incredible. So much has been revealed all in one evening. After the Extended look some content creators have shared what they know on GTA6 after they were invited out to play an early preview in July 2026 .
Size of the GTA6 map
After the Extended Look. Youtuber known as TGG started a livestream to reveal what he knows about Grand Theft Auto VI as he was one of the very few creators who were flown out to Rockstar North to get an early look of GTA6.
During his visit, TGG spent his time with Rob Nelson, who is the Head of Development and Co-Studio Head at Rockstar North. Someone in the YouTube livestream asked TGG about the map and the sizing of it, and his answer was pretty impressive.
Rob Nelson told TGG that the Grand Theft Auto VI map is pretty large. It being 2x the size of the current GTAV map. Rob also said this is around triple the size of the Red Dead Redemption 2 map. We’re going to have a lot of exploring to do around Leonida.
He also confirmed Vice City itself will also be 2x the size of the City Of Los Santos. And Los Santos is already pretty big. He then told TGG that Vice City and its surrounding areas will be 11x bigger than Los Santos and its surrounding areas. That is insane.
TGG also confirmed there is enterable buildings around Vice City, saying there is 100s of enterable buildings around the entire map.
