Rockstar Games will be making changes to mansions and another building as part of the next GTA Online update titled The Kortz Center Heist.
The company announced the update on Wednesday with just a taste of what to expect from this new heist update. Keen eyes within the community have discovered some potential changes. This includes mansions likely getting an additional new room next month.
Kortz Center Change
Community member and insider Tex2 was first to note a change being made to the Kortz Center on the cliffs out at the Pacific Bluffs. In Rockstar’s promotional screenshot for this update, players can be seen stood near a skylight. This does not match the current layout of the building’s roof
The insider speculates that this will be one of the various infiltration points for the heist. You can see the image from Rockstar below.
Mansion Change
Another key bit of information as part of Rockstar’s Newswire was the introduction of an Art Studio for every player’s mansion. The Art Studio upgrade is required to begin the new Heist and current mansion owners can earn a $1m discount on the studio (so it will be expensive!) by reaching tier 3 of the Fine Art Collector Program. This certainly raised some eyebrows considering it doesn’t appear to be space in the current version of the mansions.
However, it turns out there is actually a secret room hidden behind a wall cover next to the vault. This was spotted by @Lucas7yoshi_RS and @rollschuh2282). Somehow, data miners had not noticed this since the mansions released in December.
It’s currently unknown if Rockstar will change existing assets from the mansion to make way for an actual room that’s accessible via the door or simply make a room which you can visit through teleporting. It won’t belong before we find out. The next GTA Online update is scheduled to release in the middle of July (based on the current GTA+ end date), learn more here.
