GTA 6 is still on track to release on November 19th this year. That’s according to an extremely reliable gaming insider. To some people this is obvious although for others there is still a lot of apprehension that the game will make its current release date.
We heard from Take-Two Interactive and its CEO Strauss Zelnick last month that they still believe the game will release on the date they’ve provided previously. Plus, marketing has been reiterated to begin this summer.
With time passing by, some fans are growing weary that yet another delay, one to 2027, is coming. However, it isn’t summer yet. It’s officially summer on June 21st. Even though we are yet to hear anything about Grand Theft Auto VI from Rockstar Games in over a year, there is no cause for concern just yet.
In a new Tweet, gaming insider NateTheHate claims that GTA 6 is still tracking to release in November according to what he knows. He was asked if it is definitively coming at the proposed date. Nate made it clear that the only reason this would change is if “something unexpected & catastrophically goes wrong”.

This does feel fairly obvious although Nate’s track record is quite remarkable. Therefore when he speaks it is something worth listening to. The amount of games and types of leaks that Nate has put out and they’ve been correct is quite astonishing. It’s clear he has reliable sources. He also is still of the opinion Red Dead Redemption 2 will get a next-gen and Switch 2 version.
In recent weeks, many games have confirmed release dates for September and October. A blast radius of 2-3 weeks either side of Grand Theft Auto 6 has been left aside from some titles including a Barbie one. The industry is preparing and waiting for GTA VI to hit like a nuclear bomb. Who will survive? We’ll find out if games moved far enough away from Rockstar’s new blockbuster later this year.
