The next GTA Online update is coming soon based on a date put out by Rockstar Games on Thursday. Given Rockstar’s previous patterns, we almost certainly have the release date for what might be the last big content drop for GTA Online ahead of GTA 6.
Whilst the A Safehouse in the Hills update last year felt like Rockstar’s swansong to GTA Online, GTA 6 does not come out until November 19th. GTA Online is still racking up hundreds of millions of dollars every year so of course Rockstar want to keep putting out content for the game no matter how close we are to GTA VI.
On Thursday, Rockstar Games kicked off a brand new GTA+ month with a new addition: GTA V. The GTA+ rotation came with an end date as usual. However, the typical length of a GTA+ month is not actually a month this time. This GTA+ month goes through Monday July 13th June so just over 4 weeks; a bit longer than usual and halfway through a month and not at the start.
Given it ends on a Tuesday and not a Thursday, we can assume the next GTA Online update will release on Tuesday 14th July. Rockstar usually release new GTA Online updates on Tuesdays. The past few summer updates have released on a Tuesday in June, more so in the first half.

Currently, practically nothing is known about the this year’s annual summer DLC for GTA Online. However, based on what happened in the last update with Michael, we expect Mr. Faber will be the antagonist. We should expect more news and info on this upcoming update in the coming weeks.
In other GTA Online news, a brand new Event Week has begun alongside a new GTA+ month. You can find out all about what is happening this week in Los Santos here.
