You can now pet a dog in GTA Online that isn’t Chop and doing so earns you an award. We’ll be taking a look at how you can pet a dog in the game and unlock the “Dog’s Dinner” award. This award is bronze tier and will earn you 100 RP and doing it multiple times can take it up to platinum.
The new GTA Online Money Fronts update introduces us to Mr Faber who has criminal work for you to take part in. This can be accessed by purchasing the car wash business which we explained how to do here.

Selecting The Job
Once you’re inside your car wash business, head to the laptop on the office and press the right d-pad button. This will bring up a menu of different work. Select Mr Faber Work and it will take you into the job selection and customisation screen. The mission to pet the dog is “Liquid Market” from Raf. Confirm your selection and get started on the mission.
Finding The First Dog
Once you’ve started the mission, you need to get in a vehicle and travel to the destination on the map. It is in Sandy Shores so you have a little bit of a drive. Once you reach the destination, you need to go up to the door and pick the lock.
Inside, you’ll need to find a flash drive but you’ll also spot a dog. You can give it good to distract it as you search by going up to it and pressing the right d-pad button. When it is occupied, there will be a prompt to pet the dog using the right d-pad button too which you can choose to do. It is as simple as that to do.
Completing The Award
Once you’ve looked around and found the flash drive, you’ll need to visit the laptop and hack it. Complete the mini-game and you’ll then be tasked to go to the junkyard.
You need to be stealthy and not alert anyone or the dogs. Take out the NPCs one by one with a silenced weapon. Near the dogs, you’ll see a done icon pop up on the mini map. Go over to it and use the right d-pad button to put food out for the dog. This will unlock you the Dog’s Dinner award. You can also choose to pet it. Now you can get on with the rest of the mission.
