The Turkish Rockstar Games community have initiated a new GTA 6 social media campaign aimed at getting Rockstar Games’ attention ahead of the game’s release.
Over the past few years, games have become far better with increased language support be it subtitles or dubbing and accessibility options. Of course, huge games take a lot more effort to properly localise. That said, Rockstar Games and Take-Two are not short of funds. Turkish is not some not so common language either. It is spoken by tens of millions worldwide not just in Turkey itself.
In a new Tweet, @rockstarturk say they want the Turkish communities voice heard by Tweeting Rockstar the hashtag #WeWantGTA6inTurkish. Many Rockstar Games community members who don’t speak language have begun using the hashtag and raising awareness for the other players.
The Turkish Rockstar community are actually only asking for Turkish subtitles and interface translation as a bare minimum, not the full language support. This would be a first for a Rockstar Games title. As noted spotted by @GTATurk, Rockstar Games pay Twitter to advertise Tweets in Turkish to the people who use that language despite no support for it in GTA V and GTA Online.
In case you aren’t aware, @rockstarturk is a Twitter account with nearly 30,000 followers. This account shares news in Turkish for those who wish to receive updates in that language. Despite the @rockstarturk account being followed by Rockstar Games, some fans mistake it for being Rockstar Games themselves. They did confirm a developer at Rockstar North had seen their message asking to pass on the cry for subtitling along to the correct department.

Thanks for the article about this topic. As a Turkish man and despite knowing English very well. We just need the subtitles, that is all we ask. Also we are paying the same price as other countries yet some of them even have their native languages full support. Unfair.
