GTAV mod Menu, YimMenu taken down by Take-Two interactive

YimMenu, a mod menu for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto: Online has been taken down by Take-Two Interactive.

YimMenu was one of the most popular Mod Menus for GTA Online on PC, it was free and open source and allowed players that used it to basically do what the hell they want, including ruining other players experience in GTA Online.

Players reported that if you used YimMenu it would bypass the latest security update from Rockstar Games, in which they added Battle Eye to GTA Online, making it harder for the majority of people to mod. Now Take-Two Interactive have issued a DMCA notice to the company behind it Yimmura and also issued a Takedown notice to Github to remove the mod menu off their website.

As reported by MorsMutual (the content creator), the DMCA notice by Take-Two to YimMenu, was for reverse engineering illegally obtained code from the Grand Theft Auto V source code leak back in 2022 and for having some other illegally obtained code which is owned by Take-Two Interact vie and Rockstar Games.

The YimMenu website also has been taken down. When trying to activate it our Antivirus kicks in and says ‘threat secured.’ So we wont be linking it for obvious reasons.

The above image is from community member Floorball, in which it states the takedown was for the use and distribution of their code without permission.

Member of Yimmura comments

On GitHub, a member of the community posted saying that him and his friend have been notified that they have 1 day to delete the YimMenu fork, and asking for more information on the situation. With a member of the YimMenu team replying saying they are ending the project.

Now Rockstar Games have finally started taking security of GTA Online seriously after 9 years since it released, along with this mod also allegedly obtaining illegal GTAV code and being able to bypass Battle eye, it was quite clear that this mod would be targeted by Take-Two Interactive.
