Rockstar Games have released a new GTA Online update. This is a very small patch focused on the PC version bring parity to the game following the removal of a mode on last gen.
Fans noticed on Monday an update made to the PC version of GTA Online. Users had to download a small patch on Steam, the Rockstar Games Launcher or the Epic Games Launcher when they opened their launchers.
The main reason for this update was to change the unlock criteria of two achievements. These are the ‘Vinewood Visionary’ and ‘Majestic’ Achievements previously acquired using the Rockstar Editor mode. There are some additional improvements though as noted further below.
Back in February, Rockstar Games removed the Rockstar Editor mode in GTA Online on Xbox One and PS4. The company said this “change is necessary to allow us to support ongoing updates to these games on both platforms.”
When this mode was removed, a patch was released on all consoles to remove it on last gen and change the unlock criteria for the two Rockstar Editor Achievements. Now PC has this change. The new Achievements and Trophies criteria are as follows:
- Vinewood Visionary: Create and export a video using the Rockstar Editor OR Enter Director Mode five times as any unlocked actor.
- Majestic: Create and export 10 videos using the Rockstar Editor OR Enter Director Mode ten times as any unlocked actor.

- Fixed an issue that resulted in a ‘failed to join session’ alert screen appearing after the Next Job Voting Screen when playing from Closed or Invite Only Sessions
- Fixed an issue that resulted in players on Steam being prompted to enter a CD key on the Rockstar Games Launcher after launching GTAV
- General fixes for stability and security
